Quick answer
The short answer
Irish patients reach Dent KM in Kusadasi by flying to Izmir (ADB) from Dublin, Cork or Shannon – most routes have one stop – then a private transfer of about an hour. Treatment in Turkey is private and is regulated by the Turkish Ministry of Health, not by the Dental Council of Ireland, so check in advance what your insurance and any public scheme will and won't cover, and get your plan and price in writing in euro.

Getting from Ireland to Kusadasi
Fly to Izmir Airport (ADB) from Dublin, Cork or Shannon. Most routes have one stop and schedules change by season, so check current options when you book. You book your own flights; from the moment you land, your coordinator arranges the private transfer to your hotel in Kusadasi (about an hour) and every journey to and from the clinic.
Implant treatment is split into two trips: surgery and fixed temporary teeth first, final teeth after about 3 months. Hollywood Smile and smile design take 4–7 days in one trip.
Who regulates what
Dent KM is a private clinic in Turkey. Its dentists are registered in Turkey, not with the Dental Council of Ireland, and treatment is provided under Turkish law. The clinic holds a Turkish Ministry of Health international health tourism authorisation.
Ask any clinic abroad for the dentist's name and registration, a written plan and a fixed price before you travel – and keep copies of everything, including X-rays and the materials used, to show your dentist at home.
Insurance and public schemes
Do not assume that the HSE, an EHIC card or your private health insurance will cover elective private dental treatment in Turkey – in most cases they will not. Check with your insurer and the HSE before you decide.
Complication insurance is included with every Dent KM treatment (cover and exclusions are in your written plan), but it is not travel insurance. We recommend you take out your own travel insurance for the trip.
Before you book: a short checklist
- Written treatment plan and fixed price in euro
- Named dentist and years of experience
- What is included (hotel, transfers, insurance) and what is not (flights, travel insurance)
- Cancellation and refund terms in writing
- How aftercare works once you're back in Ireland, and who you contact
- A conversation with your own dentist about your plan
